In essence, if an employee is helping to grow your business, rewarding them in some way becomes an investment in that growth.


Now, if a direct raise isn’t possible, don’t shut down the conversation.


Look at other ways to show appreciation—think about adding perks like more vacation time, flexible hours, or even skill-building opportunities.


It’s all about finding a balance where you’re supporting their work experience, even if you have financial limits.
