Why I Am Doing This Business

I feel like such a hypocrite. Here I am, urging my clients to share their stories and make them public, yet I wonder if I’ve truly shared my own story—why I transitioned from a top real estate agent to a business coach.

From the outside, my switch might seem abrupt, like I woke up one day and thought, “I’m going to be a business coach.”

"Do you think she woke up one morning and said, "I think I'll go to law school today?"

But this transition was years in the making. Despite my success in real estate, it often felt too transactional. The connections didn’t always feel genuine. In my spare time, I found myself naturally drawn to helping friends with their businesses, offering new perspectives, and fostering their growth

Why did I love helping my friends with their business?

Because, in today’s world, many businesses—especially the large ones—seem to have lost their warmth. They’ve become cold and transactional, focusing more on marketing strategies and superficial gains driven by short-term dopamine hits rather than fostering genuine human connections.

My fondest memory is this pizzeria in my hometown. I’ll be honest—the pizza was meh (not bad not great), but it was a cornerstone of our community. People gathered there, supported each other, and the pizzeria gave back to the community in return. To me, that’s what a business should be.

If you look back at Walmart's history, founder Sam Walton emphasized values like customer service, low prices, and community involvement. He supported local events and initiatives, fostering a strong presence in small towns.

This community focus, combined with competitive pricing and efficient logistics, was key to Walmart's early success—a stark contrast to what it is today which is a cold warehouse with discounts everywhere and employees struggling to make ends meet.

I chose to become a business coach because I believe business should be about more than just transactions—it’s about connection, impact, and creating something that matters.

I believe:

Small businesses like yours have the power to bring humanity back into the world, making a meaningful difference in the lives of your customers and your community.

If this resonates with you, and you’re ready to amplify your impact while staying true to your values, and make loads of money, let’s connect!

I’d love to explore how we can bring your vision to life and create a business that not only thrives but uplifts everyone it touches.
